Description
The deeply curled foliage emerges a rich blood red color and matures to a dark shade of purple-red. Ideal for adding a colorful foliage to borders and mixed containers. Ht 25 cm (10 in) & Spreads 20-30 cm (8-12 in).
Planting Instructions
Start seed 6 to 8 weeks prior to intended date of transplanting outside. Press seed into soil, do not cover as light will aid germination. Germinates best at 20-22 C (68-72 F) in 10-14 days. Keep soil moist.Transplant at the 3 leaf stage and reduce growing temperature. Grow plants on at 17-18 C (63-65 F). Reduce moisture level to allow roots to develop, but do not allow to dry out. Fertilize every 2 weeks—with 10-52-17 and liquid seaweed for strong healthy plants. Garden spacing 30 to 40 cm cm (12 to 16 in) apart.
