Pole Beans Kentucky Blue (60 Days)

All-America Selection winner in 1991. An improved Pole Bean that combines the qualities of Kentucky Wonder and Blue Lake. The healthy, vigorous vines produce round, straight pods of excellent quality. 7 in. beans.

Planting Instructions
Pole beans should be planted with some sort of support, ie. netting, trellis or fence. Beans need a warmer soil to germinate, at least 15°C, cold soil can actually cause permanent shock to plants and they never recover. Sow in rows 30 in. apart when danger of frost is past, 1-2 in. deep and 6 in. apart. Press down soil and keep moist till germination. Thin seedlings to 12 in. apart. Several sowing ten days apart insure a fresh supply till frost. Bean roots are close to surface, do not cultivate too deep. 50g packet sows 33ft. row. For best results use Nature Aid Legume Inoculant, an organic non-chemical product which enhances root growth and yield.
