Planting Instructions

Sow 6 to 8 weeks before transplanting outside. Germinates best at 72°F/22°C in 7-21 days. Seed will not germinate all at the same time! Avoid greenhouse temperatures above 75°F/23°C, which will cause poor germination results. Press seed into a fine soil mixture and cover seed lightly with coarse vermiculite. Cover seedling flat with plastic to conserve moisture. Remove covering as seed germinates. Grow transplants in good light. Grow plants cooler at 60-65°F/15.5-18°C (like onions) to encourage huskier, bushier plants. Feed every 2 weeks with 10-52-17 fertilizer for optimum root development.
