Light Scent. Rose 'Emily Carr' is one of the first roses in the Canadian Artists Series, named for the BC painter and writer. Rich red, semi-double blooms open in small clusters.
It's a very hardy shrub with excellent disease resistance. Flowers repeat through the season, followed by decorative orange hips.
Its upright height suits the back of a border or a sunny spot along a fence. Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Water deeply through the first season and mulch the base in late fall for extra winter protection.
