American Wild Plum - 8025A

Eine vielseitige und von Natur aus schöne Pflaume, die sowohl wegen ihres Zierwerts als auch ihrer kulinarischen Verwendung geschätzt wird. Im zeitigen Frühjahr erblüht die Amerikanische Wildpflaume in einer Fülle reinweißer, duftender Blüten, die ein atemberaubendes Schauspiel bieten. Ihre langen, rutenartigen Äste bilden eine breite, anmutige Krone, die selbst im Winter attraktiv ist.

Im Sommer schmückt sich der Baum mit leuchtend grünem Laub und trägt reichlich auffällige, kugelförmige Früchte von ca. 2,5 cm Durchmesser. Diese Pflaumen eignen sich hervorragend für Marmeladen, Gelees, Saucen und Konserven, und der Baum selbst wird für seine Zuverlässigkeit und Robustheit geschätzt.

These wild plums are so small, about 6”, that you can hardly see them when planted. We had to put flags near them. I’ve been a customer for probably 20+ years and while the service is good, the bareroot stock used to be much bigger. The last several years or so, not so much. I was thankful to have found these trees though and the shipping was not too bad.

American Wild Plum rootstock is shipped as young, dormant bare-root stock. Because these are first-year plants, they may appear smaller than expected upon arrival. This is normal and does not reflect the health or future performance of the plant.

Once planted and given proper care, the root system will begin to establish, and the tree will direct its energy toward developing new shoots and growth. We recommend planting as soon as possible, watering consistently, and fertilizing according to the manufacturer's recommendations to encourage healthy establishment.

With proper growing conditions, American Wild Plum trees typically put on significant growth during their first growing season!
