Empfindliche Staude:
Callas, Dahlien und Gladiolen sind empfindliche Stauden, die in warmen Klimazonen jahrelang gedeihen, aber keinen Frost überleben. In kälteren Regionen können Sie sie als Einjährige anbauen oder die Zwiebeln vor dem Frost ausgraben und in Torf an einem kühlen, trockenen Ort lagern.

Purchased dahlia roots. One was suspect at planting others looked fine. Only one broke ground and is thriving. I have not dug the duds up hoping they are simply late. Very late. I am not expecting much.
This is my first disappointing result. I assume it's my error but I don't know what.

We’re sorry to hear that only one of your dahlia roots has emerged. Some Dahlias can be slow to emerge, especially in cool or wet soil, and some tubers may take longer to get started.
