New Zealand 'Stars' Delphinium is a mix of New Zealand hybrid delphiniums in white, pink, purple and blue. These tall, classic perennials add height and colour to the summer garden.
Bred by New Zealand Delphiniums and hand-crossed for top-quality seed, these F1 hybrids have excellent form, strong stems and vigorous growth. They were selected for better tolerance of heat and humidity while keeping their cold hardiness. Newer hybrids like these are also longer-lived than many traditional varieties.
Plant them at the back of the border or anywhere you want vertical interest. The spikes get heavy in bloom, so stake taller plants to keep them upright in wind and rain. They make excellent cut flowers.
