Hosta 'First Blush' brings red to the shade garden. Its slightly glossy green leaves have a thin red edge, and in spring a red blush spreads between the veins from the leaf tip. Bright red stems carry the colour right up into the leaf.
Pale lavender flowers rise on reddish scapes in mid to late summer. Bred by Bob Solberg.
Use it in shade borders, containers or along a path where you can see the red stems up close.
