Gooseberry 'Jeanne' was released by the USDA in 2006. Its sweet berries ripen from green to deep red, late in the season.
It's one of the most disease-resistant gooseberries available, with high resistance to powdery mildew and white pine blister rust. It also resists aphids and sawflies.
Enjoy the berries fresh or in jams, juice and pies. Plants start fruiting in year two. Grow in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil.
