Lingonberry 'Susi' is a Swedish variety that forms a low, evergreen groundcover with glossy green leaves. It produces firm, bright red berries with a tart flavour.
The berries ripen in fall and are perfect for preserves, sauces and juice. 'Susi' is also an excellent pollinator, so plant it with 'Red Pearl' or another variety for bigger harvests.
It spreads slowly by runners. Use it for edging, in containers or as an edible groundcover. Plant in full to part sun in well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.0-6.0), and avoid overwatering.
