        8380A - 5 trees

We bought 5 trees and and they are dead, they've never gotten a leaf.

Thank you for letting us know, and I'm sorry to hear all 5 Little Leaf Lindens didn't leaf out. That's a disappointing result, and we'd like to help make this right under warranty — please send your order number, pictures of the rootstock planted along with steps taken to plant and care for the plants and we'll get that sorted quickly.

A quick note for growing Little Leaf Linden in La Crete: the region sits in a fairly cold zone (roughly 2b-3a), and Little Leaf Linden is generally rated hardy to zone 3, so it can be marginal that far north.
A few things that help improve success:
Choose a sheltered planting site, protected from prevailing winds and with good snow cover over winter, since snow acts as natural insulation for the root zone. Plant in spring rather than fall where possible, so roots have a full season to establish before winter. Water deeply and consistently through the first two growing seasons, and mulch well around the base to retain moisture and moderate soil temperature.
Happy to help you find a hardier variety better suited to your zone if you'd like options for a future planting.

        8380F - 2 trees

I ordered two trees but they never grew buds. I have planted 30 lilacs and ten shelterbelt willows in past years which are still all doing well.

Hi Anne-Lise, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Please reach out to our customer service so we can assist you further. Thank you for your feedback.
