Role: Retail Associate
Full-time SEASONAL:
4 positions March 2026 - June 30, 2026 (weekend work required)
Part-time SEASONAL
3 positions March & April 2026 - June 30, 2026 (weekend work required)
Salary/Wages: Starting at $16.00/hr

THE POSITION We are looking for highly motivated and hard-working individuals to work in our retail store at 7724 Roblin Blvd. Successful applicants will have excellent customer service skills, be a team-player, and willingness to learn. Come help our customers make their garden dreams come true!

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Helping customers locate products when they enter the store
  • Ensure displays of seeds, accessories, and other supplies are well stocked and organized
  • Work checkout and help customers bring their purchases to their car
  • Basic phone and computer functions
    ○ look up orders, customer accounts, answer phone inquiries
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
    ○ watering and treating tropical plants
    ○ sweeping/dusting
    ○ ensure no safety hazards for customers

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Self-starter, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Basic computer skills
  • Horticulture background/knowledge is an asset
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Available to work during regular store hours including flexibility to work weekends as required
  • Must love dogs! (We are a dog-friendly business)

Role: Warehouse Associate - multiple positions and start dates
Job Type: Full Time SEASONAL (weekend work may be required)
1 position start February 1, 2026 - May 30, 2026
2 positions start March, 2026 - May 30, 2026
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm (some Saturdays may be required)
Salary/Wages: Starting at $16.00/hr

THE POSITION We are looking for highly motivated, and hardworking individuals to work in our warehouse. Successful candidates will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to work on multiple tasks and be a team player. This is a dynamic position and primarily includes tasks related to the production, picking, packing, and shipping of our seeds and perishables to our customers all across Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Prepare, package and perform quality control on seed orders
    - Fulfilling customer orders in a timely fashion, with a focus on accuracy
  • Prepare, package and perform quality control on young rootstock including: roots, bulbs, trees & shrubs.
  • Unload and stock shipments
  • Shipment related tasks -picking, packing and labeling
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse

REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and be a positive team player
  • Warehouse experience an asset
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to work on your feet for all or majority of your shift in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to record data, stay organized and keep track of assigned tasks
  • Must love dogs! (We have warehouse dogs)

Role: Yard Associate

THE POSITION We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Yard Associate at our garden center. As a key member of our outdoor operations, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our garden center.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Bagging various landscaping products in our bulk bin area (manure, mulch, sand, granite)
  • Mowing around all buildings, fencelines, trees, etc.
  • Weeding nursery items, parking lot and outback greenhouse
  • Ensure the cleanliness and visual appeal of outdoor plant displays.
  • Cleaning as needed, including sweeping, garbage and recycling, sanitizing and window washing

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must love dogs! (We are a dog-friendly business)
  • Previous experience in landscaping, yard maintenance, or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to operate lawn care equipment, including mowers and trimmers.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy bags of landscaping products.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must have access to transportation as it is not accessible by city transit.
