Covington Sweet Potatoes

An improved early variety suited for short northern growing seasons with bright orange flesh and deep rose skin. It's sweet and smooth textured flesh is great for roasting and mashing. Grown in-house and shipped as rooted slips, these sweet potatoes are easy to transplant into your garden once we ship them to you in spring. Sweet potatoes have a growth habit like a morning glory with trumpet shaped flowers and vining habit spreading up to 4ft. from the main stem, except they do not climb but form adventitious (secondary) buds to support further root and tuber development. Like potatoes, these will thrive in raised garden beds, containers and hilled gardens.
