Ornamental Millet Purple Majesty - B190A

You have to grow this plant! Tall, dark and handsome is how it is described by the AAS! This purple-leafed millet can grow from 3-5ft., with 8-12 in. flower spikes. Great for flower arrangements or left on the plant to feed the birds. Easy to grow, tolerant of heat and low moisture.

Planting Instructions
Very easy to grow. Direct seed in garden after the soil has thoroughly warmed in the spring, covering seed lightly with soil. Keep moist until all seedlings appear. For earlier flowers start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks in advance of intended date for moving plants to the garden. Germinates best at 21°C usually in 7 to 21 days. Reduce temperature after seeds sprout to 15°C. Fertilize every 2 weeks with 10-52-17 and liquid seaweed for strong healthy plants. Garden spacing 36 in. apart.

Fertilizing made simple a guide to fertilizing almost anything!

I believe the instructions on the package said to start them 6-8 weeks vs the 4-6 weeks instructed on the website. I started them on Monday and when I checked today (Friday) five of them (out of ten) have already sprouted about 1cm. I wasn't expecting them to sprout this fast but if all goes well I will have nice plants when it's time to bring them outside. Cost per seed these are the most expensive I have purchased so I am very happy.
