Three cold-hardy fruits, one complete planting. This starter bundle pairs two proven blueberry varieties with a vigorous pear tree - all selected for cold hardiness, covering ground level to 15 ft.

Every variety in this bundle was chosen for cold hardiness. The Northland and Northblue blueberries are both hardy crosses bred from wild low-bush stock, giving them the resilience to thrive in tough Prairie winters while still delivering generous yields - 15 lbs and 5 lbs per mature plant respectively. Blue Gold rounds out the blueberry selection with large, flat-clustered berries that are easy to pick clean. The Golden Pear Tree is a seedling of Ure selected specifically for improved vigor and cold hardiness; it matures 10-14 days ahead of its parent, produces 2 in. golden fruit excellent for fresh eating, and puts on showy white spring flowers before developing into a 15 ft specimen with good fall colour. Together the four plants create a tiered planting - from the 2 ft Northblue at ground level, through the 4 ft Northland and Blue Gold mid-layer, up to the Golden Pear canopy - delivering both blueberries and pears from a single starter order.
