American Wild Plum - 8025A

Prunier polyvalent et d'une beauté naturelle, apprécié tant pour son attrait ornemental que pour ses usages culinaires . Au début du printemps, le prunier sauvage américain se couvre d'une profusion de fleurs blanches pures et parfumées, offrant un spectacle saisissant. Ses longues branches fines forment une large couronne gracieuse, attrayante même en hiver.

Durant l'été, l'arbre se pare d'un feuillage vert vif et produit une abondance de fruits globuleux et décoratifs d'environ 2,5 cm de diamètre. Ces prunes sont excellentes pour les confitures, gelées, sauces et conserves , et l'arbre lui-même est apprécié pour sa robustesse et sa fiabilité.

These wild plums are so small, about 6”, that you can hardly see them when planted. We had to put flags near them. I’ve been a customer for probably 20+ years and while the service is good, the bareroot stock used to be much bigger. The last several years or so, not so much. I was thankful to have found these trees though and the shipping was not too bad.

American Wild Plum rootstock is shipped as young, dormant bare-root stock. Because these are first-year plants, they may appear smaller than expected upon arrival. This is normal and does not reflect the health or future performance of the plant.

Once planted and given proper care, the root system will begin to establish, and the tree will direct its energy toward developing new shoots and growth. We recommend planting as soon as possible, watering consistently, and fertilizing according to the manufacturer's recommendations to encourage healthy establishment.

With proper growing conditions, American Wild Plum trees typically put on significant growth during their first growing season!
