Top Hat is a dwarf blueberry from Michigan State University, a cross of highbush and wild lowbush blueberry. It forms a neat, compact mound covered in white flowers in spring.
Small, flavourful berries ripen in midseason. It's self-fertile, though a second variety boosts yield. Leaves turn red in fall.
Its small size makes it one of the best blueberries for patio containers. Plant in acidic soil (pH 4.0-5.5) or use an acidic potting mix in a large pot.
Hardiness Zones: 3-7 Exposure: Full Sun Harvest: Midseason Soil: Acidic (pH 4.0-5.5) Pollination: Self-fertile; better with two Features: Dwarf, Container Friendly
