Hops 'Chinook' is a vigorous, dual-purpose hop vine bred by the USDA in Washington State. Its aromatic cones carry notes of pine, grapefruit and spice.
It's a favourite for homebrewing, with alpha acids of 11-15%. Strong growth, heavy yields and good mildew resistance make it easy to grow.
Give it full sun and a sturdy trellis, fence or pergola. Vines die back each fall and return in spring. Harvest cones from mid to late August.
