Maïs hybride extra sucré du Nord (62 jours)

Find it on Pg.8 of our 2026 Catalogue
Corn Northern Extra Sweet Hybrid (62 Days) - 514A

I bought this seed to plant in spring 2026. When I got the package I saw a red warning at the bottom which said "Do not use this seed for food or feed. It has been treated with Thiamethoxam, Dividend Extreme, Polymer and Vibrance Cinco. Use for seeding purposes only." I looked it up and while those products (chemicals) protect the seed from pests and diseases to obtain higher yields, care must be taken to prevent contamination of grain going into the food or feed market. This is due to the potential for treated seed to enter the food or feed chain, which could lead to health risks or contamination of food products. Yikes!

My seed does not even look like corn seed. The polymer coating makes the seed pink.

T&T please have this warning shown on your website so people who purchase seeds know in advance and do not waste their money on chemically altered seed for food.

We have always had good luck with this corn. We have a good garden spot for growing corn. We get 600 to 1000 cobs on a package depending on how many rows we plant, usually 6 to 8. Of course, a lot of cobs are given away. About 98% of the seeds grow. Long and full to the end cobs.

I've been looking for Northern extra sweet hybrid for a few years and found it on your website. Excellent quality seed almost 100% germination and the growth is almost double my other sweet corn varieties. Thank you!

I have grown it for 4 years now. Early maturity is what I need for success. I live in a frost prone area and in 6 years only had corn make it to maturity once. This variety has come thru each time. 2025 it froze real hard in 3rd week of June. Corn was up at least a foot high and looked terrible, I left it and we still ate corn by August with a reasonable yield. I had nearly given up on trying to grow corn. Thanks for making new varieties available.
