Daylily 'Born in California' has large, heavily ruffled flowers, about 6" across. Light purple petals surround a dark blue-purple eye, with a thin purple edge, a white band and a bright yellow-green throat.
Each plant produces around 20 blooms from mid to late summer, then reblooms into fall. Introduced by Bill Maryott in 2016.
Daylilies are tough, low-maintenance perennials. Plant this one in sunny borders, mass plantings or along a fence line.
