La Goodland, une des meilleures variétés de pommes pour les régions froides des Prairies, est réputée pour sa chair croquante, juteuse, tendre et délicieusement parfumée. Excellente à déguster fraîche, elle se conserve aussi très bien, mais sa saveur est encore plus exquise lorsqu'on la savoure directement cueillie sur l'arbre.
Développée à la station de recherche de Morden , cette variété de pommier précoce et fiable mûrit en août , ce qui en fait un excellent choix pour les jardiniers souhaitant récolter des fruits avant l'automne. Son port nain permet d'obtenir un arbre compact et facile à entretenir, idéal pour les petits jardins, les jardins urbains ou pour une cueillette aisée.

Rabbit ate most of the leaves off same night I planted it! Wish I had been warned! Has survived after caging.
So far the trees are growing well. They even had flowers. Hopefully next year there will be apples. Very pleased!!
Even though this rootstock was purchased at the same time as another variety of apple tree rootstock, unfortunately this one did not survive. It was treated exactly the same as the other one, but where 1 tree broke dormancy while sitting in water for a day, this one never did leaf. Disappointing as we had this variety of apple tree at our previous address for many years and it produced wonderful apples for eating and baking pies!
