The bulbs are covered in bright white wrappers with a hint of purple colouring, and each bulb typically contains 4–6 oversized cloves. The large cloves are easy to peel and make harvesting and preparing garlic simple.

Music garlic delivers a bold, robust garlic flavour with a pleasant spicy bite when raw. Once cooked, the sharpness mellows into a rich, creamy, slightly sweet flavour with excellent depth. It is known for its strong but well-rounded taste.
