Little Quick Fire® is a compact version of the best-selling Quick Fire® panicle hydrangea. It blooms about a month earlier than most hydrangeas. Flowers open white and quickly turn pink-red.
Sturdy stems hold the blooms upright, and the foliage turns bronze in fall for another season of interest. It was the 2022 Hydrangea of the Year.
Its smaller size suits small yards, borders and containers. Panicle hydrangeas bloom on new wood and are among the hardiest hydrangeas for the Prairies. Prune in early spring and plant in sun to part sun.
Hardiness Zones: 3-9 Exposure: Part Sun to Full Sun Bloom Time: Early to Late Summer Flower Colour: White to Pink-Red Features: Early Blooming, Fall Colour, Compact
