Tall Bearded Iris 'Blue Suede Shoes' has ruffled flowers in medium to deep blue throughout, with a yellow beard tipped in white.
It blooms in late midseason. Bred by Schreiner's, it earned the American Iris Society's Award of Merit in 2000. Bees and hummingbirds visit, and deer and rabbits pass it by.
Plant the rhizomes in full sun in well-drained soil, with the tops just at the soil surface.
