Tall Bearded Iris 'Cantina' has ruffled, two-tone violet flowers. Red-violet upper petals sit above violet falls with a bright red-violet edge and a violet-and-gold beard.
It blooms in early summer and often reblooms in late summer or fall, including in Manitoba gardens. The flowers are fragrant, and deer tend to leave it alone.
Plant the rhizomes in full sun in well-drained soil, with the tops just at the soil surface.
