A ready-to-use sticky barrier that stops crawling insects in their tracks, before they reach your trees.
Protek-Trunk is a sticky coating made from natural gum resins, wax, and vegetable oil. Apply it to ornamental trees, fruit trees, and vines to create a physical barrier that traps crawling insects, including gypsy moths, ants, inchworms, mites, weevils, and more. Non-toxic to humans, pets, and insects. Environmentally friendly. Made in Canada.
Active Ingredient: Natural gum resin 25%
DIRECTIONS:
Apply Protek-Trunk to the Protek-Trunk Wrap (sold separately), do not apply directly to bark. Wrap the paper around the tree trunk at approximately 3 in. from the base, sealing all gaps and cavities. Using a putty knife, spread the paste evenly over the wrap, 3 in. wide by 1/16 in. thick. Replace the wrap once it becomes saturated with insects. Remove the wrap at the end of the season, do not leave it on over winter.
PRECAUTION:
To remove paste from skin, apply baby oil or citrus cleaner, then wash with soap and water. To remove from tools, use mineral spirits.
DISPOSAL:
Do not reuse the empty container. Wrap securely and place the empty container and used strips in the garbage.
