very slow to start and somewhat poor germination
We’re sorry to hear that your Baby Spike carrot seeds were slow to start and that you experienced lower-than-expected germination. Carrots can be a bit slower to germinate than many other vegetables and require consistent moisture during the germination period. If the soil surface dries out, even briefly, it can impact germination rates.
Weather conditions, soil temperature, planting depth, and moisture levels can also play a large role in how quickly carrots emerge. We appreciate you sharing your experience, as feedback like this helps us continue to improve and better support our customers.
Thank you again for trying Baby Spike carrots, and we hope you have a successful growing season ahead.
