A popular bedding plant with edible flowers, anise hyssop is highly aromatic and features a sweet licorice-mint flavour. Both the leaves and flowers can be used fresh or dried for salads, teas, and garnishes, while the abundant blooms also attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.

Planting Tip:
Most herbs prefer a sunny location with well-drained soil that is not too wet. Aim to plant where herbs receive at least 5 hours of direct sunlight each day. Herbs grow well in most soils but thrive in light, sandy soil enriched with peat moss or leaf mold and a moderate amount of fertilizer.
