A Prairie classic, Norkent was developed from a Haralson × Rescue cross and is well known for its unique apple-pear flavour, a delicious, aromatic taste that sets it apart from other early-season apples. The fruit is large, crisp, and excellent for fresh eating.
Norkent ripens in late August, making it one of the earlier apples to harvest, and its semi-dwarf growth habit keeps the tree manageable and easy to maintain in smaller spaces.
Ripening: Late August
Growth Habit: Semi-dwarf
Flavour: Distinctive apple-pear taste
A hardy, reliable early apple that has earned its place as a Prairie favourite.

The apple tree did not leaf out, followed instruction
We’re sorry to hear that your Norkent Apple Tree did not leaf out after planting. Young bare-root trees can sometimes take longer than expected to break dormancy as they focus on establishing their root system, and some varieties may require additional time before showing new growth.
We appreciate that you followed the planting instructions and understand how disappointing it is to see no signs of growth. Please contact our customer service team with your order information and photos of the tree, and we would be happy to review the situation with you.
Doesn’t look like they are not waking up looks like they’re just drying out. I’ve fertilized them watered them and they’re not doing anything.
