Baby Blue was found growing wild in Luce County, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula near Lake Superior. It's one of the smallest blueberries, growing only 3 to 4 in. tall and hugging the ground.
The light blue berries are fairly large for such a little plant. Delicate green leaves turn deep red every fall.
Use it in rock gardens, along edges or in containers. Plant in full sun in well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.0-5.5). Mulch with pine needles or bark to keep roots cool and moist.
