Green Manure Buckwheat

A great quick summer crop! Fast-growing plants choke out weeds, bees love the white flowers that appear in 4-5 weeks, and the tender stems are easy to cut down when the crop's done. Young leaves may be added to salads. The deep root system of buckwheat is good at mining subsurface minerals. 500g to 500 sq. ft.

Planting Instructions
A well-known summer green manure crop. Sow in late May or June and incorporate into the soil after about a month when flowering has begun. For grain harvest, sow 3 months before expected fall frost and harvest after killing frost. Planting rate 1 kilo to 1000 sq. ft.
