Heliopsis 'Forged in Fire' is a mid-size False Sunflower with a dense, dark habit and striking flowers. Each bloom has a large burnt orange eye that opens dark burgundy and lightens as the flower matures.
The semi-double flowers have extra petals that help them last longer, while the open centre stays accessible to visiting pollinators. Dark green foliage has excellent mildew resistance.
Heliopsis is a tough, bushy perennial for the middle or back of the border. Use it in combination containers, cut it for bouquets or plant it to draw butterflies to the garden.
