Hosta 'Wheee!' was named the 2021 Proven Winners National Hosta of the Year®, and one look at the leaves tells you why. Extremely ruffled, cream-coloured margins run from the tip of each green leaf all the way down the stem to the crown. The ruffles show up even on young plants, so it looks good from the first season.
This medium-sized hosta has leaves of excellent substance, which makes it slug resistant in the garden. Light lavender flowers appear on purple scapes in midsummer.
'Wheee!' is part of the SHADOWLAND® premium hosta group. These varieties are selected for strong performance across many zones, a long season of interest, thick leaves and better resistance to common garden pests. Use it to brighten shady borders, edge a path or hide fading spring bulb foliage.
