Orienpet Lily 'Purple Prince' is a tall, bold lily with large purple-maroon to magenta flowers and a lemon-lime throat. The exact shade can vary with your soil.
Thick stems carry many buds, and the long-lasting, fragrant blooms open in midsummer. Plants get taller each year and can reach well over head height once established. Hummingbirds visit the flowers.
Give it room at the back of the border. It's also an excellent cut flower. Plant bulbs in fall or spring in well-drained soil, with the tops in sun and the roots shaded.
