Peony 'Gardenia' has blush-white double flowers in a lush, rounded form that looks just like a gardenia. It has been a top show and cut-flower peony for more than 70 years.
Vigorous, well-foliaged stems carry the blooms in early midseason. The flowers have a mild, sweet fragrance.
Grow it in full sun in a border or cutting garden, and bring a few stems inside for the vase.
