Expect huge yields of impressively large habaneros! Primero Red produces bright red peppers that are 2–3.5 in. long, significantly bigger than typical habaneros. Best of all, they deliver about one-third the heat of standard habaneros, allowing gardeners to enjoy that classic rich habanero flavour without the overwhelming burn.

The fruit is smooth, vibrant, and incredibly productive, making this variety a standout for hot sauce makers, roasting, drying, and bold fresh recipes.

Planting Instructions
Start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before transplanting out to the garden. Cover seeds with 1/4 in. of soil. Firm soil over seed. Keep moist but not waterlogged. To germinate maintain a soil temperature of 22°C. Seed should germinate in 10-14 days. Once seeds have sprouted, 14-16 hours of light per day is essential. Once plants have reached 5 in. transplant to 3 in. peat pots. Plants will develop better with a growing temperature of 17°C until transplanting out. 

Pro Tip: Fertilize weekly with Liquid Seaweed Fertilizer for strong root development. Do not transplant out till night temperatures are warm.
