Pretty flowers produce large seed pods filled with flavourful poppy seeds, commonly used in baking cakes, breads, and other treats. Easy to grow and attractive in the garden, poppy plants also add ornamental value before seed harvest.

Planting Tip:
Sow directly outdoors in early spring once soil can be worked, as poppies do not transplant well. Choose a sunny location with at least 5 hours of direct sunlight per day. Lightly cover seed with soil and keep moist until germination.
