Sedum 'Popstar' is a low-maintenance, compact stonecrop from the ROCK 'N ROUND™ Series. Blue-green foliage grows on grey-purple stems with a dense, full habit, an improvement on the classic Sedum cauticola.
From late summer into early fall, the mound is covered with creamy grey buds that open to cheerful salmon pink flowers. Darker pink seed pods follow and carry the colour into fall. Look for its darker counterpart, 'Superstar'.
This hardy, dome-shaped sedum has succulent foliage and needs little water, which makes it ideal for rock gardens and dry spots. It's especially striking planted in groups. Leave it standing for winter interest and food for birds.
