Spinacia oleracea
A much improved Asian spinach with tasty, succulent, deep green arrow-shaped leaves held on long, upright stems. This spinach variety is slow to bolt and produces a higher quality leaf, making it easier to grow than other Asian-arrow types. Enjoy fresh salads featuring 'Imperial Green' spinach leaves, either on their own or mixed with lettuce and other greens.
Size: Mature plants can reach approximately 12 to 18 in. tall with a spread of about 10 in.
Yield: Allows for continuous leaf harvesting throughout the growing season; cut leaves regularly to encourage new growth.
Taste: Mild and delicious with a tender texture that complements salads beautifully.
How to use: Ideal for fresh salad preparations or sautéed as a nutritious side dish. Mix it with other greens for added flavour.

Harvest tips: Cut leaves frequently to promote ongoing growth, ensuring a steady supply of fresh spinach throughout the season.
