Solanum lycopersicum

With a legacy of satisfying gardeners, the Manitoba Tomato is a reliable bush variety that bears abundant crops of smooth, firm, brick-red medium tomatoes. Each fruit typically weighs around 175 g, making them an excellent choice for fresh eating or canning. This determinate plant habit finishes the season reliably, delivering its harvest without the need for staking, making it an ideal selection for smaller gardens or container growing.

Size: Mature plants reach 18 to 24 in. tall with a compact growth habit; tomatoes measure about 3 in. in diameter.

Yield: This variety produces a generous crop of medium-sized tomatoes over the growing season, perfect for a variety of culinary uses.

Taste: Rich, sweet flavour typical of classic tomatoes, with a pleasing balance of acidity.

How to use: Versatile in the kitchen, these tomatoes are perfect for salads, sandwiches, sauces, and canning.

Planting tips: Sow seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost, transplanting outdoors after the danger of frost has passed. Prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich soil and full sun exposure.

Harvest tips: Tomatoes are ready to pick when they turn a deep, consistent red and feel firm to the touch. Regular harvesting encourages more fruit set throughout the season.

These are real Manitoba tomatoe seeds. Previous seed from West Coast was not real Manitoba. Will buy all my seed from T & T from now on.
