Grape Sommerset - 8042A

When I received them, I planted them in a sheltered planter box until such time as the ground warmed up. They had no signs of life, once the ground warmed up, I transplanted them in the ground hoping for some sign of life, the picture shows exactly how they were and still look like.

Thank you for taking the time to reach out. We're sorry to hear that your Somerset grape has not leafed out yet.

Grapes can sometimes be slower to break dormancy than other fruiting plants, particularly if spring temperatures have been cool. It's not uncommon for a grape vine to spend several weeks establishing its root system before showing new growth.

If you haven't already, we recommend performing a scratch test on the vine. If you see green tissue beneath the bark, the vine is still alive and may simply need more time to break dormancy. Continue watering consistently, keeping the soil evenly moist but not saturated, and fertilize according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

Some grape rootstock can take up to 10 weeks to leaf out. If there are still no signs of growth after that time, please email garden@ttseeds.com with clear photos of the vine, the planting area, and the product tag (if available), along with your order number and planting date. Our Customer Service team will be happy to review your claim.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and hope to hear that your Somerset grape begins showing new growth soon.

I received the 2 roots at the beginning of May with no instructions. I phoned your Service department to tell me what to do with them. I was told to keep them in a cool place until planting which I did. I planted them end of May and they have not sprouted. What a waste of money and time.
