Cupid Cherry
A standout new option in the Prairie-hardy sour cherry lineup, Cupid produces some of the largest sour cherries available, excellent for both fresh eating and processing. The flavour is rich and balanced, making it perfect for pies, preserves, and enjoying right off the bush.
Cupid blooms about one week later than other Saskatchewan cherries, which can help protect blossoms from late spring frosts. In spring, the plant is covered with beautiful white flowers, followed by heavy crops of deep red cherries. Grows to a compact 6-8ft. height, making harvesting easy.
While self-pollinating, production is even better when two cherry varieties are planted nearby.
Mature Height: 6-8ft.
Bloom: One week later than other SK cherries
Pollination: Self-pollinating (improved yields with another variety)
Cherries are known for being naturally rich in antioxidants, an added bonus to their wonderful flavour and versatility.
A hardy, delicious, and productive choice for Prairie gardeners wanting big cherries on a compact bush.
