Dahlia Planting and Care

Purchased dahlia roots. One was suspect at planting others looked fine. Only one broke ground and is thriving. I have not dug the duds up hoping they are simply late. Very late. I am not expecting much.
This is my first disappointing result. I assume it's my error but I don't know what.

We’re sorry to hear that only one of your dahlia roots has emerged. Some Dahlias can be slow to emerge, especially in cool or wet soil, and some tubers may take longer to get started.

We’re glad to hear that one is thriving, and we hope the others still make an appearance. If they do not, please reach out to our Customer Service team so we can review the situation and assist with your warranty claim.
