Valiant Grape

Valiant Grape - 8035A

A top-performing hardy grape for the Prairies, Valiant is well known for its reliability, sweetness, and early ripening. The fruit is blue, medium-sized, and produced in large, abundant clusters with a rich, sweet flavour, making it one of the best fresh-eating varieties for cold climates.

One of Valiant’s standout features is its very early ripening, typically around the third week of August, allowing gardeners in cooler regions to enjoy grapes before fall frost. The vines are self-fertile, but planting more than one variety will boost pollination and increase yields.

Hardy to Zone 2b, Valiant is an excellent choice for Prairie vineyards, fences, and backyard trellises.
