Description

Growing naturally dense and thick without shearing, this
spruce is super hardy to Zone 1. Works well as a windbreak/shelterbelt,
privacy screen, accent planting, group planting in recreation areas and
public grounds and even as a Christmas tree. Kevin of T & T Seeds
states “It literally looks like a sheared Christmas tree, yet its never
been touched by a pruner.” Mature ht 20 m (60 ft). Plant size 30 cm (1
ft). Space at least 10 m (30 ft) apart.

Planting Instructions
Plant in full sun to partial sun and in a location with a moist,
well-drained soil made fertile through the use of soil amendments such
as Wormgold, Alfalfa Gold or Sky Rocket.
They will tolerate partial shade, but you will be happier with your
plants’ performance if you give them enough sunshine. Tolerant enough of
mildly acidic soil to be grouped with the acid-loving plants, but it is
not overly fussy about soil pH and will perform just as well (maybe
even a bit better) in ground that has a neutral pH.
