For its beauty and magical qualities, the calendula is a widely adored flower throughout the world. In any garden, it’s bright orange shiny face is sure to please and it’s strong stalk makes it a perfect cutting flower for vases. Ht 30 cm (12 in).

Planting Instruction

Sow directly in the garden once soil has warmed in the spring. Cover lightly with soil and keep moist until all seeds appear. For earlier plants start seed 4 weeks in advance of intended date for moving plants to the garden. Cover lightly with soil. Germinates best at 21 C (70 F) usually in 10 to 14 days. Reduce temperature to 15 C (60 F) after seedlings are established. Fertilize every 2 weeks with 10-52-17 and liquid seaweed for strong healthy plants. Garden spacing 30 cm (12 in) apart.
