Description

Roots are huge and have a higher level of Beta Carotene than other Danvers types. It’s not unusual for them to grow 30 cm (12 in). Contains 35% more Vitamin A than regular Carrots.

Planting Instructions

Seed outdoors as soon as weather and soil conditions permit. Cover seed lightly with soil, 6 to 7 seeds per 30 cm (1 ft) of row. Average garden soil and a sunny location is ideal. Carrots germinate in 7 to 14 days. Keep soil moist until all seed has germinated, do not allow soil to crust. As Carrot seed is very fine it can cook on extreme hot days. The garden blanket is ideal as an aid speed-up germination. Thin to 3 cm (1 1/2 in) apart when plants are 6 cm (3 in) high. Approximately 900 seeds per gram.
