Description

(55 Days) This outstanding white slicing cucumber is the toast of the town and makes a great all-around addition to any garden. High yielding and excellent flavour. An early, continuous producer of 12 cm (5-6 in.) straight, white skinned fruit. Its smooth, white skin makes the fruit easy to spot at harvest and earns lots of compliments at the table. The flesh is bitter-free, very sweet and crunchy with tender, “no peel” skin if harvested at 12 cm length; larger fruit will need peeling. Spreading, trailing habit.

Seed outdoors as soon as danger of frost has past in your area. Cover seed lightly with soil, 3 – 4 seeds together in groups. Space groupings 60 cm (2 ft) apart. For earlier Cucumbers start indoors 2 to 3 weeks in advance of intended date for moving the plants to the garden. Use Jiffy pots so the container and roots can be buried without disturbing the root system. Also make sure the pot is wet when transplanting. Sow 2 seeds per pot and do not thin. Germinates best at 22 C (72 F) in 7 to 10 days. Fertilize for the first 3 weeks with 10-52-17 formula. Cucumbers are good for dills when 5 cm (2 in) long and excellent for slicing when full grown.
