Start seed 6 to 8 weeks prior to intended date of transplanting outside. Lightly cover seeds, provide light and germinate at 18-21°C (65-70°F). Seed should sprout within 10-15 days. Transplant outside after last frost date, although Osteospermum is somewhat cold tolerant. Well-drained soil is required. If you have heavy clay soil, plants will perform well in pots of soil-less mix.
