Description

Amelanchier alnifolia ‘Smokey’ – Smaller liner
or hedging size. A more economical way to start your own orchard or
fruit collection. 30 cm (12 in) plants. Hardy down to zone 2a.

Plants are on their own root stock, thus you can leave any branches
that come out from the roots. Prune the plants to desired shape in the
spring, when plants are dormant. Space them a minimum of 60 cm (2 ft)
apart. Do not cultivate to deeply around the plants as their root stock
is very shallow. Keep well watered the first year to establish. The
first years growth is minimal as they are a slow starter. (8065 Seedling
plugs do not soak).
